What are Minnie Valentine's Workshops?

Minnie Valentine's Workshops have just been newly created in 2023 with the aim of restoring value to existing objects, by renovating them, diverting them, assigning them a new use and sometimes quite simply by dusting them off and presenting them in a new day.

Beyond the renovation of furniture and old objects, with a serious penchant for lighting, Les Ateliers also hope to help everyone rethink their consumption of interior decoration, whether through the reuse of second-hand or then through workshops and advice around upcycling.

Who is Minnie Valentine?

Burlesque stripper and jazz singer for over 12 years, Minnie Valentine is a retro, glamorous and sparkling character. Behind my penchant for rhinestones and sequins hides an all-consuming passion for old objects and vintage fashion. Ever since I was little, I have been antiquing and collecting beautiful objects from bygone eras: an old gramophone of its master's voice here, an Underwood typewriter there or even the good old Singer sewing machine with its curved lines and painted golden letters recognizable among a thousand.

Alongside this colorful and whimsical career, I worked for more than ten years in communication in press relations and agency influence. But the call for manual work, creativity, and a life more in tune with my values was stronger. Today, I therefore renovate furniture and light fixtures; I hunt for you forgotten nuggets and I offer upcycling workshops.

Values and commitments

The foundations of the Ateliers de Minnie Valentine are based on 3 essential principles which dictate all the actions and missions carried out by the Ateliers.

REVALORIZATION

  • Encourage by all means the reuse of the second hand
  • Giving new life to objects whether through renovation or upcycling

SUSTAINABILITY

  • Offer an alternative to the “fast deco” phenomenon by offering durable and timeless objects that have had several lives (responsible and reasoned consumption)
  • Reuse objects/furniture with noble materials. Our grandparents' decor and furniture were built to last. It's up to us to revamp them to make them more modern and reclaim them!
  • Limit its environmental impact

PERSONALITY/IDENTITY

  • A curation of objects and furniture of character to give personality and cachet to its interior. A unique, precious and multi-faceted decoration, just like you!
